This is the top of the line rower for the a serious rowing
workout. There is none better than this one.
The Coach is a magnetic-resistance rowing machine comparable to the
Tunturi R610. Improving upon the Tunturi, the Coach provides a
smoother rowing stroke and includes heart-rate monitoring in the
standard monitor. For serious athletes interested in measuring and
monitoring their overall fitness levels, the Coach is equipped with
a fitness test that evaluates heart-rate recovery patterns and rates
performance on a scale of 1 to 6. This tool is a valuable aid to any
serious training program.
The Coach's 16 additional exercises set it apart from all other
rowing machines. It comes with an included padded board on which you
can recline to do triceps, abdominal, and other focused
muscle-building exercises. The padded board measures 19 x 12 inches
and is designed to support your back while your head rests on the
seat surface. Isolate shoulder and back muscles from a standing
position; build bicep strength in the seated position. Ten
resistance settings help you refine your row or exercise workout to
best suit your needs. The Coach is equipped with anti-slip floor
protectors that help it stay in place while also preventing
scratches on wood or finished floors. This non-slip surface is
particularly important when you perform standing exercises. These
exercises are made possible thanks to the rugged construction of the
frame, flywheel, and internal parts. The flywheel axle is forged
from aluminum and is stepped through a 1:5 heavy-duty transmission.
The padded seat and board are made from high-quality padding and
roll on internally mounted wheels. The Coach comes standard with a
performance monitor and an ear-clip heart rate sensor.
Does the Kettler Coach Rowing Machine feel like real
rowing?
The Coach's magnetic resistance is renowned for its
smoothness more than its accurate reproduction of on-the-water
rowing. Resistance is selected, rather than being responsive to how
hard the user is rowing, so it is very consistent and much smoother
than piston rowing machines but not ideal for those who want a real
rowing experience.
How much noise does the Coach make?
The Coach makes almost no noise. If you are looking for the smooth
action of a full-size rower without the excessive noise of air
resistance, the Coach is a great choice.
What features are included on the
Coach's workout monitor?
The workout monitor includes all the most common features found in
rowing machines: distance rowed, time rowed, number of strokes,
stroke rate, and calories consumed. The Coach also includes two
advanced options. The Coach comes standard with an ear clip
heart-rate monitor that feeds your pulse directly into the
monitor. Using the ear clip heart-rate monitor, the Coach offers a
helpful fitness test that uses your heart's recovery rate to rank
your fitness level on a scale of 1 to 6.
Does the Coach require a dedicated space?
The Coach is a full-size rowing machine, so a dedicated space
would be best. It's nearly six feet long and weighs 75 pounds, so
moving it frequently is a workout in itself. It can be stored
vertically against a wall or in a closet, but you will likely want
to leave it in place as much as possible.
How much assembly does the Coach require?
The Coach is on the low end of assembly time. All tools are
included, and it should take between half an hour and 45 minutes
from opening the box to rowing.
What kind of warranty is included?
The Coach comes with the standard Kettler warranty, which covers
parts and electronics for three years for all residential use.

policy on the Coach Rowing Machine by Kettler Model#
7935-690 is simple. Kettler does not allow returns
on this item, but will replace damaged or malfunctioning parts. Contact our Customer Service Department by email
about any missing or malfunctioning items and we will contact
Kettler about replacing the parts for the Coach Rowing Machine.
Also, please make sure your package was not damaged during
shipment, as UPS or FedEx would then be responsible to reimburse
Kettler for replacement parts. BackTrainer.com will accept a
return if this is requested within 7 days of its arrival, but
there will be a 15% restocking fee. Please note that this
machine needs to be returned in its original boxes
and arrive in like new condition. As
is customary with catalog/online ordering, we do not refund
